To correct this on your own site, you are required to re-install conversion.js. You can find this file under popup-domination/javascript/conversion.js. Simply replace this file with the attached file below using ftp.

We haven’t changed much in the way the widget looks and operates, with all core functionality remaining as it is. However, we have updated the form code functionality to fix a major bug when handling form code that requires hidden fields to process the form. We have also update several other key features which have not been up to scratch and have effect the users overall experience with the widget.

We highly recommend customers to remove their previous version of the widget from their WordPress setup and re-download the widget. You can find the updated version of the widget from your downloads page, you may need to re-activate the pro version’s panels, but your order number from that purchase will unlock the affiliate panel without any problems.

The 3.0 version of PopUp Domination shipped with an amazing new feature which allowed us to safely and efficiently push updates for the plugin right into our customers WordPress dashboard from our private servers. This has resulted in our development team pushing many updates in a short space of time, however it has allowed to act quickly to any major and/or minor bugs that have be reported by our customers.

While this has radically improved our support response time, it came at a price: each time PopUp Domination was updated, it would erase people’s PopUp Domination themes. This wasn’t due to a coding error, as most WordPress plugin updates behavior in the same manor as ours does, i which they delete all old files and replace them with the updated plugin files.

We quickly established that this was of great inconvenience to our customers and after much determination, we have now re-coded the plugin’s updater to stop customer’s PopUp Domination themes from being lost each time they update. The plugin will overwrite your themes when upgrading to the 3.3.1 update, but any updates after the 3.3.1 update, your PopUp Domination themes will no longer be deleted each time you update the plugin (providing your updating from the 3.3.1 version and not an earlier version).

We have also updated the theme uploaded which now should reduce the likely hood of errors appearing when customers upload a theme through the plugin’s theme up-loader. Remember if your theme fails to upload, check your file permission as outlines in the plugin help section.

2.0 and 2.5 users:

Step 1: Delete PopUp Domination from your plugins menu and make sure all PopUp Domination files have been removed from your WordPress plugin folder.

Step 2: Download the latest 2.5 files from the downloads page.

Step 3: Re-install the plugin using the newly download files, you may be asked to enter your order number again, which you can find on your receipt (see this help article).

3.0 users:

Please make sure you are using at least the 3.2 version of the plugin. You can update the plugin either by using the plugin updater available in your WordPress dashboard, or you can download and re-install the plugin using the latest updated files from the downloads page.

If you continue to have problems with the plugin after applying the fixes as described above, please contact our support desk and we will help get the plugin working on your WordPress system as soon as possible.

We screwed up and we’re sorry

We’d like to take this opportunity to issue out a huge apology to all our customers in relation to the launch of 3.0 version of PopUp Domination. As many of you may be aware, we had an alarming number of critical bugs in our plugin upon it’s launch which we unfortunately did not filter out before the launch. Understandably, many customers felt let down and frustrated that after such hype for the 3.0 version, they were given a very under par product, we never meant to launch the product in such a fragile state and we are truly sorry for upsetting and failing to meet the standard our customers expect from us. We would also like to say a huge Thank You to all our customers who have helped us find and resolve the bugs in version 3.0 of PopUp Domination. Without your help, support and your dedication to the product we would of had a mountain to climb in order for the plugin to reach where it is now, so Thank You from the bottom of our hearts.

With every dark cloud, there is a silver lining and we have certainly been able to take a lot positives out of our hiccup during the launch of the 3.0 version. We will be taken these lessons and applying to every product, existing and future, to help us not only have an awesome product, but to have awesome customers too.
